From the Club Nàutic Estartit, we want to express our sincerest congratulations to Mr. Serge Pallarès, a leading figure in the French maritime and port world. He is currently president of the Union des Villes Portuaires d’Occitanie and of the Parc naturel marin du Golfe du Lion, and has previously served as president of the Fédération Française des Ports de Plaisance.

Mr. Pallarès has recently received the insignia of Commandeur dans l’Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded by France. Established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, the Légion d’honneur is the highest civil and military recognition in the country, granted by the President of the French Republic to individuals who have rendered extraordinary services to the nation.
The rank of Commandeur is one of the highest levels within the order and is awarded to figures with a career marked by professional excellence, leadership, and commitment to the common good. This recognition consolidates Mr. Pallarès as one of the leading figures in the Mediterranean maritime and port world.
A solemn ceremony at the Prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales
The award ceremony took place in the salons of the Prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales, in Perpignan, in the presence of French authorities of the highest regional and national level. The préfète de région, Josiane Chevalier, was responsible for presenting the decoration to Mr. Pallarès, in an event full of emotion and institutional recognition.
Representing the Club Nàutic Estartit, President Jordi Ponjoan and Director Eugeni Figa attended, wishing to personally accompany Mr. Pallarès in this very special moment. Their presence reinforces the bonds of collaboration and friendship between our organizations within the maritime and port sector.
