On April 28, the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona organized a new edition of the Tàndems amb valor conference, a meeting focused on fostering partnerships between the tourism sector and environmental and social organizations in the region. The event, held at the Club’s facilities, brought together professionals, companies, and organizations with a shared goal: to generate a real positive impact on the environment and the local community.

Purpose-driven tourism, beyond the experience
One of the highlights of the conference was the presentations by several local organizations, such as the Xarxa de Conservació de la Natura, the Federació de Voluntariat Social de Girona, and the Taula de Voluntariat de l’Empordà. These organizations explained how they facilitate connections between businesses and social and environmental projects.
Entities with initiatives open to collaboration also took part: Fundació Alive, Fundació Emys, La Sorellona, and the Associació de Naturalistes de Girona. These presentations allowed attendees to learn about real projects designed both for companies and for visitors who want to leave a positive footprint during their stay.

The Sèpia Project, a living example of cooperation for sustainability
The conference concluded with a field visit to learn about the Projecte Sèpia in l’Estartit, an initiative that perfectly exemplifies collaboration between sectors for marine conservation and sustainable development.

Towards a more responsible tourism model
From the Club, we are committed to initiatives such as Tàndems amb valor, which remind us that the future of tourism lies in cooperation, environmental awareness, and social commitment, generating real benefits for the region and its inhabitants.
