The Club Nàutic Estartit has been the setting for another exciting day of the Regata Interclubs Empordà 2025, a competition that brings together sport and the local region. With the impressive Illes Medes as a backdrop, the day offered a spectacular display of more than thirty cruising sailboats navigating in a unique and protected natural environment.
The Regata Interclubs Empordà is one of the most emblematic events on the Costa Brava’s nautical calendar. It is a regatta circuit between clubs in the Empordà region that promotes friendly competition, maritime spirit, and collaboration among Nautical Clubs. The event features cruising-class boats divided into different categories competing at various venues, CN Banyuls, GEN Roses, CV Golfus, CN Escala, CN Estartit, consolidating a sporting circuit that strengthens the bond between clubs and sailing enthusiasts across the entire Costa of the Empordà and Northern Catalonia.
A memorable day at Club Nàutic Estartit
At Club Nàutic Estartit, the day began with a fork breakfast at the Club’s restaurant, a moment of gathering and camaraderie that has already become a true tradition among the participating crews. After a welcome from the Club’s president, a draw was held for a 50% discount on the Club’s boatyard services, including hauling out and painting, a gesture greatly appreciated by all crews.
Following this relaxed start, the competition took center stage with a northeast wind of 6 to 15 knots, allowing for two highly intense and competitive races. The favorable wind and sea conditions offered a sailing experience full of excitement and challenge.
