L’Estartit hosts the Catalonia Championship of the Finn class and the ILCA Master Regatta 2025

On May 31 and June 1, 2025, the waters of l’Estartit were transformed into the stage for one of the most significant events on the Catalan nautical calendar: the Catalonia Championship of the FINN class and the ILCA Master Estartit Regatta. With the participation of high-level sailors and a privileged setting like the Costa Brava, this double event has already established itself as a key reference for dinghy sailing in Catalonia.

A source of pride for the Club

For the Club Nàutic Estartit, it was a true honor to host two official competitions of this level, organized with the support of the Catalan Sailing Federation, FinnCat, and the ILCA Master Class Catalonia. This event reaffirms our Club’s commitment to promoting sailing.

More than a competition, a celebration of the sea and community

The ILCA Master Regatta and the FINN Catalonia Championship are not just competitions: they are a true celebration of the passion for sailing, the sea, and the bond between athletes and the region. The simultaneous holding of two top-level events brought together experienced and veteran sailors, making these days a first-class nautical showcase.

A meeting point for veteran sailors

The ILCA Master Estartit Regatta is aimed at master category sailors in the ILCA class — a category made up of athletes with a long career and a deep connection to the sea. At the same time, the Catalonia Championship of the FINN class — an Olympic class rich in history — brings together sailors who combine experience, technique, and a spirit of pushing boundaries. Both events continue the competitive tradition and offer opportunities for senior sailors to participate, allowing them to keep enjoying their passion.

Thanks to all the sailors

From the Club Nàutic Estartit, we wish to express our sincerest gratitude to all the sailors, technicians, and support teams who made this edition possible. Over the course of two intense and exciting days, we witnessed an exceptional display of commitment, sportsmanship, and respect — both on the water and on land. Your effort and enthusiasm help sailing grow year after year, and we are proud to be your nautical home port on the Costa Brava. We look forward to welcoming you at the next regattas!
