On 21 February, Club Nàutic Estartit instructors Guillem Gurrea, Aina Artalejo and Aran Gonzalez took part in a training session at the Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC), focused on the Lliga Blava project and on improving grassroots sailing teaching methodology.

During the session, the coaches gained in-depth insight into the Lliga Blava project, an initiative aimed at promoting development-focused competition and the sporting growth of young sailors within a structured and educational framework.
The training also included a specific module dedicated to the RS Feva class, the boat chosen by the Catalan Sailing Federation and the Barcelona Capital Nàutica Foundation to launch this project. The instructors received practical advice and teaching resources to support children’s learning, with the aim of improving their autonomy and technical skills.

In addition, the key features of the boat were explained, with particular focus on sail trim, gennaker handling and crew coordination.
The day concluded with an on-water practical session, where the instructors were able to apply the concepts covered during the training and experience first-hand the technical aspects discussed.
Through this initiative, Club reaffirms its commitment to the continuous training of its technical team and to the ongoing improvement of the quality of sailing education for young sailors.
