On 14 February, Club Nàutic Estartit celebrated a new edition of its much-anticipated calçotada, a gastronomic gathering that brought together 52 participants, including members and friends of the Club. The event took place in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, reaffirming the social and participatory spirit that defines the activities in our annual calendar.

A menu with a taste of the region
The culinary proposal combined tradition and high-quality local produce, offering a complete menu that delighted all attendees.
The lunch began with a vegetable cream soup with crispy pork cracklings, a comforting starter to open the meal. This was followed by Andalusian-style calamari, crispy and full of flavour, and a coca topped with roasted vegetables and smoked sardine, adding a balanced Mediterranean touch to the menu.
The calçots, the undisputed stars of the day, were grilled over an open flame and served with the traditional romesco sauce. As the main course, guests enjoyed a Girona beef entrecôte, tender and perfectly cooked, completing the gastronomic experience with top-quality local produce.
The final touch was a recuit cheese with fig jam, a smooth and delicate dessert that brought the menu to a perfectly balanced close.

An atmosphere of fellowship and tradition
From the very beginning, the Club’s restaurant was filled with conversation, reunions and the pleasure of sharing a table together. The calçotada is one of the most emblematic gatherings of the winter season and, year after year, it continues to strengthen bonds and offer the opportunity to enjoy traditional cuisine in a privileged seafront setting, combining tradition, quality and a warm atmosphere.
From Club Nàutic Estartit, we would like to thank everyone who made this gathering possible and invite you to stay tuned to our upcoming activities. The gastronomic season continues, and we look forward to welcoming you on 7 March for our Cod Gastronomic Day.
