55th Travessia de Natació Illes Medes – l’Estartit, Feel the Costa Brava

On the weekend of 27 and 28 June, Club Nàutic Estartit will once again host one of the most emblematic events of the summer sports calendar with the 55th Illes Medes – l’Estartit Travessia. A historic race that brings together hundreds of swimmers ready to take on a unique challenge in open water.

With more than half a century of history, the Swim has become one of the most traditional open water events on the Costa Brava, combining sport, nature and personal achievement in the incomparable setting of the Montgrí, Illes Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park.

Two distances for all levels

The event offers two race distances so each participant can choose the challenge that best suits their level:

La Brava 3.5K: the main event, featuring a spectacular course around the Illes Medes that tests swimmers’ endurance and technique in a privileged natural environment.

La Clàssica 2K: designed for swimmers who are new to open water or who prefer a more accessible distance, this race offers an iconic experience suitable for all levels.

Both races are supported by a comprehensive safety system and escort boats to ensure the smooth running of the event.
