On 23 February, we attended the 2026 Sailing Night, held at the Tinglados of the Port of Barcelona, one of the most important events in the Catalan nautical calendar. Representing Club Nàutic Estartit were the Club’s President, Mr Jordi Ponjoan, sailor Sara Ayats and Sporting Director Carles Palomares.

Two Gold Sails for the Club
The evening was especially meaningful for Club Nàutic Estartit, which received two Gold Sails corresponding to the 2024 and 2025 seasons, recognising the Club’s sporting achievements and trajectory over recent years. Sara Ayats also collected her award for the podium finishes achieved at the European Championship in 2024 and 2025, confirming her outstanding sporting form.

A major event for Catalan sailing
The Catalan Sailing Awards brought together more than 450 people from the sailing community and once again highlighted the talent and dedication of clubs and sailors from across the region. During the ceremony, the best sailors of the 2025–2026 season were honoured, with special recognition for Julia Gómez and Florian Trittel, as well as the introduction of the Best Youth Sailor award, reinforcing the commitment to the future of sailing.

Pride and commitment to sailing
Special distinctions were also presented to key figures in our sport, and one of the most emotional moments of the evening was the tribute to Florian Trittel for his gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
For Club Nàutic Estartit, it is a source of pride to be part of this great Catalan sailing family and to continue working to promote grassroots sport and a passion for the sea.
