New president and new board of directors at the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (ACPET)

The Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (ACPET) is embarking on a new phase with the appointment of a new president and a renewed board of directors, following the decisions made at the recently held Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly in Barcelona. This leadership change represents a step forward for the Catalan nautical sector and for all the ports that are part of it, with the aim of establishing a modern, efficient, and future-oriented management.

New president and new board of directors

Raimon Roca Roig has been appointed as the new president of ACPET, taking over from Albert Bertran after eight years in office. Alongside him, the new board of directors incorporates new positions and consolidates profiles with proven experience in the management of ports and nautical clubs. Nicolás González assumes the position of first vice president, Lourdes Aran holds the secretary role, and Domènec Gómez continues serving as treasurer. Eugeni Figa, director of our Club, remains as vice president of the northern area (Costa Brava). The central area continues to be represented by Alex de la Fuente, director of Club Nàutic Vilanova. As for the southern area, Miriam Sirisi, from Port Calafat and Marina Sant Jordi, has been elected as the new vice president. This configuration combines continuity and renewal, aiming to strengthen the representativeness and operational capacity of the association in the face of current and future challenges of the sports port sector in Catalonia.

The current president, Raimon Roca, is a professional with extensive experience in the nautical world and port management. With nearly two decades of experience directing a leading marina on the Costa Brava, he has also served as First Vice President of ACPET for the past eight years, been a member of the board of the Spanish Confederation of Yacht Club Associations (CEACNA), and participated in the Advisory Council of the Costa Brava Tourism Board. This experience, combined with a solid background in business management and administration, provides a comprehensive vision of the sector that integrates business management with territorial promotion and sustainability.

New presidency and a new phase

The new executive team at ACPET has expressed its intention to consolidate a more professionalized structure, strengthening the role of its technical team and manager to ensure greater efficiency in daily operations. This approach aims to provide the Association with a more agile capacity for action, capable of addressing the current challenges of the Catalan nautical sector, such as:

  • The modernization and continuous improvement of port services.
  • The promotion of environmental sustainability and responsible management of infrastructure.
  • The defense of the common interests of member ports before the authorities.
  • The encouragement of collaboration among ports, clubs, and local entities.
  • The promotion of nautical tourism as an economic and social driver for coastal areas.

Strengthening the value of catalan ports

ACPET brings together almost all of Catalonia’s marinas and tourist ports, from the Terres de l’Ebre to Cap de Creus. This level of representation allows for the coordination of joint initiatives, the sharing of experiences, and the promotion of competitiveness and quality across the Catalan nautical sector. With this new institutional momentum, a phase opens characterized by a commitment to innovation, transparency, and sustainability, values that should guide the future of recreational and tourist boating in the region.

Catalan ports and clubs approach this new phase with confidence and determination. The leadership change at the presidency and the renewal of ACPET’s board of directors symbolize a clear commitment to excellence and cooperation. With a shared vision, the path is set toward more coordinated, modern management, committed both to the territory and to all those who live and enjoy boating in Catalonia.
