At the Club Nàutic Estartit, we congratulate the MAMASTRAIL team, made up of twelve women from l’Estartit, Torroella de Montgrí, and Pals, for successfully completing their participation in the 12th edition of the Oncotrail 2025, held on October 4th and 5th in Palafrugell. This demanding solidarity mountain race, organized by the Fundació Oncolliga Girona, brought together 343 teams who covered 100 km between the Costa Brava and les Gavarres, with a common goal: to raise funds to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families.
Thanks to the involvement of all the participants, a total of €428,694.60 was raised, all of which will go directly to the projects and services of the Foundation. This figure demonstrates the power of sport as a tool for social transformation and the value of collective solidarity. Through their participation, the MAMASTRAIL team, sponsored by our Club, reaffirmed their commitment to the values of sport, personal growth, and cooperation, establishing themselves as an example of female team spirit and social commitment in the Girona region.

Three years of consistency and overcoming challenges
In 2025, the MAMASTRAIL team achieved their third consecutive participation in the Oncotrail, a milestone that reaffirms their commitment to sport, personal growth, and solidarity. From day one, the team has approached this race as a collective project full of human values, where shared effort and camaraderie have become the driving force behind their determination and team spirit.
Their technical preparation, discipline, and exemplary organization made it possible to complete the 100 km challenge with great cohesion and no injuries. Weeks of training, mountain routes, and carefully coordinated relays tested both their physical and mental endurance, proving that consistency and teamwork are key to achieving any goal.

More than a race: a solidarity project with heart
For MAMASTRAIL, participating in the Oncotrail is much more than just running: it’s running for a cause. Some team members have experienced illness up close within their family, which makes every kilometer a tribute and each edition an experience filled with emotion and meaning. The team contributed €2,100 to the Fundació Oncolliga Girona, which will be used for research projects and support services for people affected by cancer.
This spirit of solidarity, combined with their positive attitude and strong bond between members, makes MAMASTRAIL an inspiring example for all women athletes who see physical activity as a way to contribute to social causes.

At the Club Nàutic Estartit, we feel fully aligned with the values represented by MAMASTRAIL. Their motto, “Cames i cor” (Legs and Heart), perfectly encapsulates their philosophy, and also ours: consistency, empathy, and shared commitment. We support the team as part of our commitment to women’s sports and corporate social responsibility, promoting initiatives that bring together health, effort, and solidarity. We believe that sport is a tool for building community, inspiring new generations, and raising visibility for the role of women in both the sports and social spheres. With this spirit, we will continue supporting MAMASTRAIL and other local projects that reflect the values that define our Club: effort, teamwork, and commitment to the community.
