From the Club, we wish to reaffirm the importance of responsible and sustainable boating. As you well know, the initiative led by the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (ACPET) promotes good environmental practices in recreational boating and invites us to take care of the sea—today and always. At the Club, we firmly believe that it is essential to promote sustainable and environmentally respectful recreational boating.

Best practices for respectful boating
The practices outlined in the ECO Nàutic booklet are clear and simple, and any boater can apply them immediately in their daily routine:
- Avoid using anchors on Posidonia seagrass beds and use regulated mooring buoys instead.
- Maintain a moderate speed near the coast, ports, or other vessels.
- Avoid accessing designated swimming zones with watercraft.
- Fish only in authorized areas, with a license, and in accordance with local regulations.
These practices, already common at Club Nàutic Estartit, contribute to safe and environmentally responsible boating. L’Estartit is a living laboratory of marine sustainability. The Club, in collaboration with projects such as ECO Nàutic, is leading the transformation of recreational boating towards a greener and more conscious model. We invite everyone to navigate with respect, to care for the environment, and to be part of the change. The sea will thank us today—and so will future generations.
ECO Nàutic: the complete guide

The ECO Nàutic guide has become an essential tool for anyone wishing to enjoy the sea without compromising its ecological health. It’s not just about best practices, but about a true shift in nautical culture—one that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030. Located in the heart of the Montgrí, Medes Islands, and Baix Ter Natural Park, we are actively working to minimize the impact of nautical activities.
