From May 15th to June 15th, gastronomy takes center stage in Torroella de Montgrí and L’Estartit with the celebration of the Gastronomic Days of the Sonso.
This emblematic fish from the Mediterranean is much more than just a culinary ingredient. It represents the very essence of a community linked to the sea, with its commitment to quality and sustainability. Through the consumption of this marine product, its exquisite taste is appreciated, and the preservation of an essential primary sector for the economy and culture of the region is also promoted.

The restaurant at the Club is part of this culinary celebration and we have prepared a unique gastronomic experience, with a special menu where “Sonso” is the star protagonist.
As starters, for sharing, we offer anchovies from L’Escala with tomato bread, a goat cheese salad with red fruits and Torroella apple, fried “Sonso” and garlic prawns. Then, for the main course, we propose two traditional options with the exquisite flavor you know well: hake “à la Donostiarra” or cheek of veal confit with garlic aioli. The “recuit” cheese flan from Fonteta is the perfect finale to this delightful gastronomic experience.
Additionally, to accompany these exquisite dishes, nothing better than a local wine, carefully selected to enhance and complement the flavors of the “Sonso”: the wine from Castell de Perelada.
