Jazz l’Estartit is one of the most prestigious festivals in the Spanish music scene, both for its programming and its commitment to maritime culture. For this reason, in 2024, the festival returns with an impressive ninth edition, featuring a more extensive and diverse agenda, and with a new name:: Sea Jazz l’Estartit.

Four days and a privileged environment

A four-day festival, specifically from July 24th to 28th, with sixteen concerts and three emblematic stages such as the Passeig del Molinet, the Terrat Confraria de Pescadors de l’Estartit, and the Espigó de Llevant. Always with our Medes Islands in the background.

An exceptional blend of talents

The highlight of this edition will be the exceptional mix of talents. We will have the chance to enjoy the talent of legendary jazz figures such as saxophonist Charles Lloyd and pianist Chucho Valdés. We will also have internationally acclaimed artists like the Lakecia Benjamin Quartet, with their latest album titled “Phoenix”, nominated this year for three Grammy Awards.

Additionally, a new section featuring promising young talents, the Young Lions, will be present. Although they are still relatively unknown to the general public, most of these musicians represent the European jazz scene, the most current reality of our jazz.

The festival will offer a carefully curated selection of local dishes and a resting area with views of the Mediterranean. All of this will make Sea Jazz l’Estartit a must-attend event for jazz enthusiasts and summer culture lovers!
