Sunday, April 12,<\/strong> the IV Wingfoil regatta<\/a> was held, included in the Circuit de Catalunya and organized in collaboration with EolisKite<\/a>. The wind did not disappoint and provided a splendid day with Tramuntana winds between 15 and 20 knots, fairly stable, and 1 m waves. Ideal conditions<\/strong> for competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full speed and impressive planing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The day began with registration confirmation at the race office, followed by the skippers\u2019 briefing, where the race director explained the starting procedure and the technical details of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition featured 30 racers<\/strong>, divided into 25 riders in the Pro class and 5 in the Open class. Participants showcased all their talent on the water, flying with speed and control, delivering a true spectacle for the audience watching from the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The l\u2019Estartit regatta was the first event of the Circuit Catal\u00e0 to incorporate, for the Pro class, the same course used in the Wingfoil World Cup<\/strong>. This represented a challenge successfully taken on by the organization, as the course included more than 11 buoys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pro class course also included a Free Fly section<\/strong>, where participants could only generate speed using leg power to glide over the waves, until reaching the slalom zone where they resumed using the wing.

Throughout the day, there was a fantastic atmosphere on the beach, with families and supporters cheering on the racers and creating an unbeatable environment that added even more energy to the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
