The Centre d\u2019Activitats del Club has become a space for growth and training for students of the Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle in Guidance in the Natural Environment and Leisure Activities (GUIAMN<\/a>) at Institut Montgr\u00ed. The sailing course corresponding to the module \u201cGuidance in the Aquatic Natural Environment\u201d was carried out over three weeks: from September 2 to 5, from April 7 to 10, and from April 14 to 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 26 students took part in this enriching training<\/strong> experience focused on sailing<\/strong>, discovering not only the techniques specific to this sport but also values such as teamwork, autonomy, and respect for the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by the course instructor, Joan Mart\u00ed, and the centre\u2019s technical staff, they experienced 12 days of learning that combined daily practice at sea with theoretical sessions on land, consolidating knowledge and gaining confidence in a real and stimulating environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sea as a classroom: training in real contexts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sessions took place in the morning, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with at least three hours of active sailing each day. Each day combined theoretical and practical content, with classroom work before and after the sea sessions, facilitating reflection and the assimilation of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the course, the variety of weather conditions provided the opportunity to work in very different scenarios, enhancing learning and preparing future guides to face real-life situations with greater confidence and safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A collaboration that grows stronger year after year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From the Escola de Vela at the Centre d\u2019Activitats, we are very pleased to continue collaborating with Institut Montgr\u00ed. The students\u2019 active participation stands out, as well as the strong coordination and commitment of the teaching and technical teams. For their part, the GUIAMN students shared the following feedback:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During the past two weeks, together with the institute and CNE, we had the opportunity to get an introduction to and learn about dinghy sailing, within our field of study, which is guiding. Within this evaluation, I would like to highlight several factors that made these weeks special and different.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, I would like to emphasize the environment, as sailing between l\u2019Estartit and the Medes, and even having the opportunity to sail around the islands, is a unique experience that can only be lived in this place and is what makes it so special.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, I would like to talk about the facilities and the equipment provided during these weeks. It is worth noting that the fact that both the facilities and the equipment were so well prepared, organized, and maintained greatly facilitates learning and the development of the sessions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, but no less importantly, I would like to highlight very positively the work of the instructors, Guillem, Isaac, and Biel, who were always attentive, approachable, and willing to help us at all times. They contributed to making the sessions more dynamic and enjoyable.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, personally, I believe these weeks have greatly helped us to deepen and improve our skills and techniques as guides, which we can apply both at sea and on land.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During these two weeks in l\u2019Estartit, we learned a lot about sailing and it was a very enjoyable experience. We worked on aspects such as tacking, wind awareness, and basic vocabulary, and each day we felt more confident while sailing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also important to highlight the work of the instructors, Guillem, Isaac, and Biel, who guided us at all times with patience and professionalism. Thanks to their explanations and support, learning was easier and safer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the technical aspect, the activity encouraged teamwork, communication, and respect for the natural environment. Overall, it was a very positive experience that I would recommend repeating.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
