On March 21st, in collaboration with the Fire Department of the Generalitat<\/a>, we carried out a fire drill at our port<\/a>. This training and prevention day allowed us not only to test emergency protocols but also to raise awareness among our members, employees, and users about the importance of acting quickly and effectively in the face of a real risk situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do we conduct fire drills at the harbor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Drills are essential tools to prepare everyone who is regularly present at the harbor, including the professional team. In an environment like this\u2014where boats, fuel, electrical systems, and flammable materials all come together\u2014a fire can have devastating consequences if not brought under control in time. Practicing allows us to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Check the proper functioning of alarm and extinguishing systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            What dangers do we encounter in a harbor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            A marina, although primarily a recreational space, includes several elements that make it a vulnerable environment when it comes to fire risks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    The role of the Firefighters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                    Collaboration with the Fire Department was essential to ensure the drill was carried out with realism and professionalism. During the day, a simulated fire broke out on a boat moored at one of the docks. The firefighters conducted a full intervention\u2014from the initial alert to extinguishing the fire and evacuating the area. They also took the opportunity to teach basic self-protection techniques and answer questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
