1. Respect marine wildlife<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Marine animals are a fundamental part of the ecosystem, and it is crucial not to interfere with their habitat. Avoid feeding the fish or touching animals such as dolphins and turtles. If you practice snorkeling or diving, keep a safe distance and avoid disturbing their natural behavior. Here in l\u2019Estartit, Costa Brava, we are recognized for our rich marine biodiversity, especially around the Medes Islands, as it is one of the most important reserves in the western Mediterranean. The use of motorized boats can cause pollution, both through emissions and spills of oil or fuel. It is advisable to inspect your boat regularly to prevent leaks and to opt for more efficient and eco-friendly engines. If you use cleaning products for your boat, choose biodegradable ones to avoid polluting the water. One of the most serious problems affecting marine ecosystems is the accumulation of plastics and other waste. Never throw trash into the sea, and if you find floating debris, collect it whenever it is safe to do so. Use reusable bags and avoid single-use plastics.
